Confirmation of identification
While applying for a student-driving licence for the first time, it is crucial to check the appliers identi-fication by means of a CH-passport, an CH-identification card or a foreign ID. This procedure is held by the municipal administration of Zug.
First aid / safety training

Theory exam
Learn the essential theory on a PC/ I-pad.
After receiving the application form you are apt to do the theory exam.
Student-driving licence
Once the theory exam is achieved (at the age of 18/17?) you will receive the student driving licence by the county traffic licensing department.
Traffic advisory service
The traffic advisory service is compulsory. It is held on four successive morning- or evening-classes lasting each for 2 hours. It is taught by a certified driving instructor.
Traffic test
  • Time to take practise lessons with a driving instructor.

After you reach the level of maturity you may apply for your driving test.

The driving-license “on probation” is sent directly by the county traffic licensing department. This licence is valid for merely 3 years. During this period no traffic offense should be reported.

The Fahrgut team is at your side if requested. More over 2 additional WAB courses (safe and economical driving) are to be attended in that time.

No sooner than that you will receive the unlimited driving licence.
